Split, Croatia
July 2021 during the middle of the COVID Pandemic, I flew to Split, Croatia for a week. Hot??? I thought I knew hot growing up in Louisiana, working in the deserts in the Middle East and deserts in the Western US, but that was a new experience. It was like the sun was 10 feet above your head with 100% humidity. I took two tours, first to a natural park in Croatia, and the second was to Moster, Bosnia.

In the 1990s I was in the Marines when the war broke out in the Balkans, so was an interesting experience. Bosnia was still recovering from the war damage more than 25 years later.
