Norway Trip, July 2014

From the US I flew into Oslo and Emi from Mallorca, Spain.  From Oslo we took the train to Bergen, then the ferry to Balestrand at the Sognefjord. We stayed in an historical hotel built in the 1800s where the Kaiser Wilhelm would stay.

Ferry to Balestrand

The second connection was taking the ferry from Bergen to Balestrand.  Following the train ride, Emi and I had a three hour layover.

Balestrand and Surrounding Area

While in Balestrand, we rented bikes and rode around the fjord. I rented a car and we did some travels to also see a Stave Church from around 950 AD.

Bergen and Viking Museum in Oslo

Waiting in Bergen overnight, we went to an old fort, which are the first photos.   Back in Oslo before flying back to the states and Emi to Spain, we went to a Viking Museum.
